Privacy & cookies

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This page explains how this blog and third-party services use data when you visit, and the choices available to you.

This site and hosting

This is a static blog hosted on GitHub Pages, with no registration or sign-in. GitHub may process access logs, including IP addresses, to provide hosting and security. The site loads fonts and styles from Google Fonts and jsDelivr; requests to these services transmit connection information such as your IP address.

Local storage

The site uses browser localStorage to remember whether the article contents panel is collapsed. This preference stays in your browser and can be removed through its site-data settings.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

This site uses Google AdSense Auto ads. Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this site or other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using those visits, depending on your consent choices, location, and advertising settings.

Advertising services may process your IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. See Google’s information below for details. Other participating advertising vendors may also process data under their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can manage personalized advertising in Google’s ad settings, or use AboutAds to learn about and opt out of some third-party vendors’ personalized advertising cookies. You can also restrict or delete cookies in your browser. Turning off personalization does not necessarily stop all ads or all cookies.

If an advertising privacy or consent message is available in your region, use it to manage the choices offered and follow its instructions to revisit them. This policy does not itself give consent to advertising cookies.
